Many passengers on the train from Jerusalem reported to Ynet that they have been stuck near Lod for three hours and that the train is crammed. The train was activated specifically to help people stranded in Jerusalem to reach the center and north of the country.
Israel Railways spokesperson Liran Gordon said: "There is a fundamental restriction on speed which has caused delays." She added that because of the floods in the Ganot area there will be delays on Sunday as well. (Gal Gasman)
