Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich said in an interview with Ynet that "the local authorities in Jerusalem and Safed operated at full power from the very first very moment of the storm, and they have no abilities beyond those that were used."
The minister added that "to say they did not work for a whole day is simply wrong." (Ynet)
