Legislative Affairs Committee approves NGO Bill

The Knesset's Ministerial Committee on Legislative Affairs approved the bill dubbed "The NGO Bill", submitted by Knesset Member Ayelet Shaked (Habayit Hayehudi). The bill seeks to impose a 45% tax on NGOs who receive contributions from a foreign entity whose goals are to boycott Israel or its citizens, attempt to prosecute IDF soldiers and incite to racism.
The committee's chairwoman, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, announced that she will submit an appeal against the decision. (Moran Azulay)
