Report: Hamas agrees to form unity gov't with PA

Hamas agreed to join a unity government with Fatah, a close associate to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas told the Palestinian news agency Ma'an on Tuesday. The source said Hamas leaders Khaled Mashal and Ismail Haniyeh called Abbas and expressed their agreement to a unity government.
The source also said that the Palestinian president is expected to announce elections in the PA after the Arab League's foreign ministers' meeting Saturday. (Elior Levy)
