Knesset plenum rejects bill forbidding negotiations over Jerusalem

The Knesset plenum has rejected in an preliminary reading a bill proposed by MK Yakov Litzman (United Torah Judaism) the forbids holding talks over the future status of Jerusalem without first achieving an 80 MK majority in the Knesset.

 

Only 12 MKs supported the bill, with 51 against and one abstention. The Habayit Hayehudi factions was absent from the plenum at the some of the vote. (Moran Azulay)
