Family of Lebanese soldier: He deserved recognition

None

Family members of the Lebanese soldier, Hassan Ibrahim, who shot and killed Petty Officer 1st Class Shlomi Cohen said they are "astonished that he has been detained instead of being given national recognition," according to an Al-Arabiya interview with the shooter's cousin.

After the incident, Lebanon claimed the man was a wayward soldier. Israeli Defense Minsiter Moshe Ya'alon said that the Lebanese army reported that the soldier was arrested, investigated, and will be punished. (Roi Kais)
