Palestinian administrative prisoner Samr Issawi, who went on a hunger strike in protest of his arrest, will be freed Monday. Issawi was released as part of the Gilad Schalit deal, but was arrested again after breaking his release conditions.
He will receive a reception in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiye. His release came as part of an agreement signed between him and the security establishment in Israel that said he would be released after serving his administrative jail time, and in return he would stop his hunger strike.
