5-year sentence for former yeshiva head who shot student

Jerusalem District Court sentenced to five years in prison Adri Menachem, the former head of a yeshiva who was convicted of shooting and injuring a student in the wake of an argument between them. Yitzhak Zohar, an accomplice, was sentenced for 4.5 years.

In 2010, the two were waiting on a motor scooter for a student who was expelled from the yeshiva and was coming to attack another student. Adri was the head of "Ben Ish Chai" yeshiva in Jerusalem, even though he was not ordained as a rabbi. (Aviel Magnezi)
