Egypt leader: Presidential election can come first
Egypt's interim president says a presidential election can come before a planned parliamentary poll in the country without violating a military-backed road map following the July 3 coup.
It was the first official signal that Egypt may amend the transition plan adopted in the wake of the popularly backed coup that toppled Islamist President Mohammed Morsi. (AP)
