The man accused of throwing hot tea on Knesset Member Ahmad Tibi will remain in custody until January 19, when a report examining an alternative detention pending the conclusion of the legal proceedings will be submitted, the Beersheba Magistrate's Court ruled.
The incident took place in a protest a week ago in Beersheba against the Prawer plan to resettle Bedouins in the Negev. (Mati Siver)
