Livni: Unlike Oslo, today's deal may have majority agreement

Published: 12.31.13, 12:57 / Israel News

Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, who is the Israeli chief negotiator with the Palestinians, said in the seventh Galilee Conference that "this time, contrary to 1995, there's a majority agreement. Most of the public knows more or less what the deal's conditions are. Unfortunately, not always the Knesset or government politics reflect this majority."

Livni added that "the national and Zionist task is to invest in the Negev and Galilee, and to find a political solution for the West Bank, and not invest in the West Bank in order to prevent a political solution." (Maor Buchnik)
