Former PM Ariel Sharon's condition deteriorates

A deterioration in former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's condition has been reported.

Sharon has been in a coma since January 4, 2006, after suffering a second stroke in less than a month. According to the Chaim Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, Sharon has never officially been diagnosed as suffering from a coma but was diagnosed as having a "low level of alertness." (Yaron Kelner)
