Sa'ar: 'Jordan Valley is Israeli and will stay Israeli'
On the eve of Kerry's visit, senior Likud lawmakers toured the Jordan Valley. Interior Minister Gideon Sa'ar said "the Jordan Valley is Israeli and will stay Israeli. When we placed our security in others' hands, we realized it was an illusion."
He added, "Where there are no settlements there will be no IDF and when there is no IDF there will be terror." The tour included deputy foreign minister Zeev Elkin, who said: "There is only one answer that Foreign Minister Abba Ebban already gave: 'The '67 borders are Auschwitz borders.'" (Moran Azulay)
