TMZ reports Ayelet Ben-Shahar, who had roles in television series 'House of Lies' and 'Weeds,' allegedly caught stealing $400 worth of groceries from Los Angeles supermarket
Israeli actors (and mainly actresses) have recorded some major achievements in the United States recently, yet one largely anonymous Israeli actress has managed to generate some negative headlines overseas this week.
Celebrity gossip website TMZ reports that Ayelet Ben-Shahar has been placed under citizen's arrest by the Los Angeles Police Department for allegedly stealing $400 worth of groceries from a local supermarket.

Ben-Shahar, 27, had several roles on American TV and cinema in recent years, including on Showtime hit "House of Lies" where she played a high-end jewelry dealer. She also had small roles on "Chuck" and "Weeds" and in "Iron Man 2."
Her IMDB page points to no activity in 2013 and lack of future projects.
According to the online movie database, she grew up in the city of Rehovot in Israel and began acting when she was 12 years old. At the age of 20 she decided to leave Israel to pursue a career in Hollywood, and quickly landed her first American TV role in the show "90210."
she later got a recurring role as a young Arab beauty on Showtime series "Weeds." Her last project so far was "House of Lies."
