119 Jailed asylum seekers to continue hunger strike

119 asylum seekers failed in the Saharonim facility are continuing their hunger strike, which enters its third day. On Tuesday, 130 prisoners had maintained the strike. In the wake of the strike, Israel Prison Service denied the prisoners perks like cantina purchases, permission to maintain electric devices in their cells, and their right to make phone calls.


On Tuesday the hunger strikers announced they will continue their civil action until their asylum requests are examined. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
