Supreme Court President Asher Grunis decided that the plea demanding annulment of the amendment to the Infiltration Prevention Bill will be deliberated by a wider panel.
The new amendment stipulates that the period of imprisonment without trial for asylum seekers be shortened from three years to one year. In addition, the establishment of a facility for asylum seekers will come into effect, and will be open during the day and closed during the night. (Aviel Magnezi)
