Former Shin Bet chief cuts Denmark trip short

Published: 01.11.14, 11:42 / Israel News

Former Shin Bet head Carmi Gillon returned to Israel earlier than expected, after a Palestinian organization demanded a warrant for his arrest in Copenhagen.

Gillon was in Denmark to promote the documentary The Gatekeepers. The Foreign Ministry, with the help of the embassy in Denmark, handled the matter and decided that Gillon should return home. Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman received updates about the matter and ordered a quick resolution to prevent a diplomatic incident. (Attila Somfalvi)
