MK Stern: Chief rabbis must protect female IDF recruits or resign

Knesset Member Elazar Stern (Hatnua) called on the chief rabbis "to protect the religious women who join the army or admit that they are not fit for their role." He made the remarks during an urgent debate he initiated on the matter of the Chief Rabbinate Council's ban of female recruitment to the army.
Last week Finance Minister Yair Lapid called on dismissing the chief rabbis following the decision that was released a week ago. (Moran Azulay)
