One rabbi bill approved by ministerial committee
The Knesset Ministerial Committee for Legislation approved on Sunday a bill proposal that would merge Israel's two chief rabbi positions into a single position, regardless of ancestral background.
Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, who proposed the bill, said "We don't have two States of Israel, we're one nation." (Moran Azula)
