Syria opposition issues ultimatum to Ban over Iran

The opposition Syrian National Coalition on Monday afternoon said it would only attend the upcoming Geneva II Syria peace talks if UN chief Ban Ki-moon withdraws his invitation to Iran.
Reuters reported that the SNC have given Ban until 7 pm GMT to withdraw the invite to Iran, which has sparked a diplomatic firestorm ahead of the peace talks scheduled for January 22. (AFP)
