Obama, Putin discuss Olympics security in call

President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed in a phone call on Tuesday how best to have a "safe and secure" Winter Olympics in Sochi, the White House said.

Amid rising concerns about threats from militants to disrupt the Sochi games, the US military is making two ships in the Black Sea available should American support be required during the Olympics. (Reuters)
