Bat Yam Mayor Lachiani suspended from role for a year
Bat Yam Mayor Shlomi Lachiani has been suspended from his role as mayor for a year, a special committee has decided in wake of fraud and graft charges brought before him.
The committee was formed in a bid to deal with mayors facing corruption charges but unwilling to leave their position.
Lachiani was also suspended from all his roles as a city council member. (Omri Efraim)
