Iran condemns Beirut bombing, blames Israel

Iran on Wednesday "strongly" condemned a double bombing in Beirut that killed four people earlier in the day, and accused Israel of being behind the attack, the Iranian media reported.
Iran "strongly condemns this terrorist act", said Marzieh Afkham of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She said Israel had carried out the bombing as it is "not happy" with the establishment of a new Lebanese government that includes a swathe of political parties. (AFP)
