At historic conference, haredi sects decide on mass protest against IDF enlistment
In two weeks haredi sects will hold a mass protest against the 'equal share of the burden' bill, as was decided at a combined conference of members of Degel HaTorah and Agudat Yiserael's Council of (Great) Torah Sages and Shas' Council of (Wise) Torah Sages.
The members also decided that if the bill is passed into law, they will hold another conference where they will consider barring yeshiva students from even reporting to their first draft call. The conference represents a historic cooperation between the Sephardi and Ashkenazi sects. (Kobi Nachshoni)
