Palestinians: Woman who approached barrier in Gaza Strip killed by IDF fire
Palestinian emergency services in the Gaza Strip discovered the body of a woman they claim was killed by IDF fire, east of Khan Yunis in the southern Strip. Eyewitnesses said the woman, who was apparently mentally ill, approached the security barrier on Friday, and the IDF opened fire towards her.
The Palestinians claim that the IDF prevented an ambulance from reaching her location and that she succumbed to her wounds. The IDF said that a group of Palestinians approached the barrier; an IDF force told them to maintain distance.
