Two Tira residents arrested in possession of M-16 rifles

Two Tira residents, aged 26 and 31, were arrested after a M-16 rifle, allegedly stolen from the Israel Defense Forces, was found in their vehicle.

According to suspicions, the suspects planned to transfer the weapon from Nablus into Israel. The driver admitted to allegations made against him and claimed that he thought the weapon was an air gun. Both suspects were detained for further investigation. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
