The Prodigy to perform in Israel this summer

English electronic music group to make a stop in Tel Aviv on May 24 as part of world concert tour. Opening act to be provided by British producer Feed Me.

English electronic music group The Prodigy will make a stop in Israel as part of its world concert tour in the summer of 2014, performing on May 24 under the open sky at Tel Aviv's Trade Fairs and Convention Center.

The first 1,000 tickets will be offered for NIS 279 (about $80).

The opening act will be provided by British producer Feed Me, who will be visiting Israel for the first time.

The Prodigy performed in Israel three times in the 1990s. The last time was during a festival held at Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park in the summer of 1997.

After the release of its successful album "The Fat of the Land" that year, the band took a break from touring and recording for several years.

Last decade, band leader Liam Howlett reunited with members Keith Flint and Maxim Reality, and the band made its big comeback in 2009 when it began performing in festivals around the world and released its fifth album, "Invaders Must Die." In 2011, it released live album "World's on Fire," which also included a DVD.

The Prodigy's show is being brought to Israel by the Zappa Group, which was also responsible for bringing Skunk Anansie, Lady Gaga, Faith No More, Nine Inch Nails, David Guetta and Steve Angello, Steve Aoki and others.

Tickets can be purchased on the Zappa Group website.
