Israeli arrested on suspicion of selling paragliding equipment to Iranians

Tax authorities arrested the owner of a paragliding equipment company from Kokhav Yair after they received intelligence that he had been involved in the sales of parachutes to Iranian citizens via Persian Gulf countries. Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court released the suspect under restrictive conditions.

A tax authority source said that while the paragliding equipment that was sold is considered sport gear, it can be used for military purposes as they can carry heavy weight, are accurate and allow its pilot to stay in the air for a long time. (Itay Blumenthal)
