Netanyahu expresses 'regret' over death of Jordanian judge

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed "regret" Tuesday after the death of a Jordanian judge of Palestinian origin who was shot dead by IDF soldiers at the Allenby border crossing.

"Israel regrets the death of Judge Raed Zeiter and expresses its sympathy to the people and government of Jordan," Netanyahu said, according to a statement from his office, announcing that "a joint Israeli-Jordanian team" would lead "a quick" investigation into the incident that caused great tension between the two neighboring countries.
