A Swedish journalist was shot to death while he was out reporting in an affluent and well-guarded area in Kabul Tuesday, highlighting fears of rising violence ahead of a crucial election to choose a new leader for the country.
Nils Horner, 51, who also had British citizenship, had worked for Swedish Radio since 2001 as a foreign correspondent mostly in Asia and the Middle East, including Afghanistan and Baghdad. (AP)
