White House warns Putin that Russia's moves to annex Crimea would bring sanctions

White House press secretary Jay Carney warned that Russia's moves to annex Crimea would bring sanctions. "The actions that Russia has taken, in clear violation of international law, in clear disregard for Ukraine's constitution, Ukraine's territorial integrity and Ukraine's sovereignty, have not been and will not be recognized by the international community. Those actions have incurred costs already...Further actions, further provocations will lead to higher costs."

"We would not recognize this attempted annexation. As we have said, there are costs with such action," Carney added. (Yitzhak Benhorin – WASHINGTON).
