An IAF fighter jet navigator prevented a jet's freefall during an exercise flight above the Mediterranean Sea after the pilot suffered from vertigo, which is a loss of orientation.
The routine flight left an IAF base and returned safely after the navigator's rapid intervention. The IAF is investigating the circumstances behind the event. (Yoav Zitun)
