Prosecutors tell ex-Olmert aide: Jail time or no plea bargain

The former top aide to Ehud Olmert has been told by the state prosecutor that a plea bargain in which she hands over incriminating evidence against the former prime minister must include a year of jail time for her.

 

Shula Zaken, who served as Olmert's chief of staff, testified against her former boss Wednesday, ending weeks of speculation that she was attempting to make a deal with prosecutors in the latest twist in a slew of corruption trials against the former prime minister. (Naama Cohen-Friedman)
