13-year-old boy held for stabbing schoolmate with sharpened ruler

A 13-year-old boy was detained in Rishon Letzion on Thursday morning on suspicion of stabbing a 16-year-old during a school fight.

An initial investigation shows that the 13-year-old used a metal ruler sharpened into a point. The victim sustained light injuries, and was sent to hospital in Holon after receiving medical attention from paramedics.

Rishon Letzion municipality said that the incident was under investigation. (Gilad Morag)
