Source: Pollard to go free by Passover
Jonathan Pollard will be freed before Passover, which begins April 14, an Israeli source familiar with the ongoing negotiations, and the US efforts to save them, said Tuesday.
There have been growing reports that the US administration will indeed release the convicted spy as part of a new proposal by Secretary of State John Kerry to keep US-brokered peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians going.
The new plan includes the release by Israel of hundreds more Palestinian prisoners and an agreement by the Palestinians to keep talks going until 2015.
