Foreign Ministry workers sign new wages deal with Finance Ministry
A new wages agreement was signed between the striking Foreign Ministry employees and representatives of the Finance Ministry on Wednesday.
This agreement could put an end to the Foreign Ministry workers' strike, that has been going on for two weeks and included the closure of Israeli missions worldwide.
The agreement presents solutions to a part of the issues raised by the Foreign Ministry workers.
According to the agreement, wages of Israeli diplomats will be determined by an objective mechanism used in OECD countries for updated wages, and in accordance with the price of living in each country. (Itamar Eichner)
