Livni threatens Palestinians with sanctions

Israeli sources reported that "the meeting last night between Tzipi Livni, the minister responsible for negotiations with the Palestinian authority, and her Palestinian counterpart Erekat, was difficult." According to different reports, Livni threatened the Palestinians with sanctions.

The Palestinians reported that the meeting failed to resolve differences. During the meeting, Erekat told Livni that if the Israeli side continues the escalation, the Palestinians will seek the prosecution of Israel for war crimes in the international courts. (Attila Somfalvi and Elior Levy)
