Lapid: Abbas' conduct raises doubts about interest in reaching agreement

Commenting on the negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid expressed doubt as to whether the Palestinians are indeed serious in their intentions to reach a peace agreement.

"Renewing the negotiations with the Palestinians was one of Yesh Atid's conditions for joining the coalition, but in order to hold negotiations, the other party needs to want them. The conduct of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in the last 24 hours raises severe doubts as to whether he is really interested in reaching an agreement," Lapid said. (Moran Azulay)
