Peres meets with Chinese president in Beijing

President Shimon Peres met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Tuesday. During the meeting, which lasted two hours, the Chinese President said that his country understands Israel's concern over Iran's nuclear program and stressed that he supports further negotiations between Tehran and world powers.

Peres thanked him and said that China plays a major role in preventing Iran from getting nuclear weapons. (Noam Dvir)
