Home Front Command Minister Erdan submits resignation, suggests shutting ministry down
Home Front Command Minister Gilad Erdan (Likud) has sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in which he recommended the office be closed and his tenure be brought to an end.
Erdan also serves a minister of communication, and his recommendation comes after months of tensions between the office and the defense minister over division of responsibilities.
"I could continue to serve as Home Front Command minister, but this is not my was as a public servant," Erdan said. (Yoav Zitun)
