Nabil Abu - Rudeineh, spokesperson for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, addressed comments made by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu honoring Jerusalem Day on Wednesday saying, "The Palestinian stance, and that of Arabs world-wide is that eastern Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine and there won't be an agreement without that."
Netanyahu early said in his speech that Jerusalem will remain unified under any circumstances.
Abu-Rudeineh also said, "Continuation of this policy conflicts with the decisions of the international community. This has dangerous consequences and is not conducive to creating an opportunity to achieve peace. These statements pose more obstacles to efforts to revive the peace process." (Roi Kais)
