Turnout in Egyptian presidential elections at 44.4%

CAIRO - Turnout in Egypt's presidential election was estimated at 44.4 percent in a provisional count, judicial sources said on Wednesday.

Former army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is widely expected to win the contest. A Reuters tour of polling stations during the three-day vote suggested turnout was low. (Reuters)
