The head of the Ashdod Port union, Alon Hassan, was released Friday on a 15-day house arrest. Hassan is also barred of the Ashdod Port in the next three months.
Hassan was arrested 10 days ago for his alleged involvement in a case of corruption at the port. He is suspected of bribe, blackmail, and laundering millions of shekels.
Police said that despite Hassan's release, it will continue investigating the suspicions against him. (Eli Senyor)
