The new Palestinian unity government still lacks any authority in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah told the New York Times on Thursday.
"You have to be realistic — we're not in control," he said.
Hamdallah also promised to reverse a decree signed two years ago by PA President Mahmoud Abbas exempting the residents of Gaza from paying taxes and electricity bills.
"We will be asking people to pay their electricity bills, (but) We're not going to do it tomorrow." (Ynetnews)
