US praise Abbas for comments, urges restraint

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki praised Palestinian President Abbas comments regarding the need to see the kidnapped Israeli teens returned home, saying: "We were encouraged by President Abbas' strong statement to the Arab and Islamic foreign ministers today in Saudi Arabia." 

Psaki further said the US has been in touch with both sides, urging restraint and continued security coordination. (AP)
