Military official: No intention to escalate situation in the north

A military official said Monday that Israel was not interested in "escalating the situation in northern Israel. The military efforts are concentrated in the West Bank".
According to the official, some of the targets that were attacked overnight in Syria were in an area presumed to be where the rocket that killed the boy Muhammad Karakara was launched from.
"The area is a friction point between the Syrian army and the Syrian rebels; therefore the Syrian army is responsible," the official said. (Yoav Zitun)
