Hezbollah condemns Beirut bombing

Hezbollah has condemned a car bomb that went off overnight Monday in Beirut as “cowardly,” and praised the work of security forces that prevented it from reaching its target, a large group watching a World Cup game, Now Lebanon reported.

“(We) praise the military and security institutions’ latest achievements… and call on them to continue their blessed efforts in order to foil criminal conspiracies and plots against Lebanon and the Lebanese,” the website quoted Hezbollah as saying in a statement Tuesday. (Ynetnews)
