Sa'ar rules against Tel Aviv supermarket operations on Shabbat
Interior Minister Gideon Sa'ar rejected clauses in a Tel Aviv municipality bylaw addressing the operations of supermarkets on Shabbat.
Yet in an opposing move, Sa'ar approved Shabbat operations in industrial zones in the Tel Aviv port, the Jaffa port, the Jaffa Railway Station, Neve Tzedek, and gas station convenience stores. (Omri Efraim)
