Main suspect in Abu Khdeir 's murder has past record for attempted murder

The main suspect in the murder of Palestinian teen Mohammed Abu Khdeir was arrested in the past for the attempted murder of his month old daughter. According to court documents, the suspect, a 30-year-old man from Jerusalem, confessed for trying to strangle his daughter, but stopped after his wife entered the room.

An indictment hasn't been filed because it was impossible to prove that the suspect moved from thought to action. The suspect's defense attorney is likely to plead insanity on the Abu Khdeir's murder trial.
