Hamas: Discussing ceasefire but still no final agreement

Efforts are underway to seek a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza after a deadly offensive week, but no agreement has yet been reached on a cease-fire, an official from Hamas told AFP.

"There are efforts and exchanges about a truce, but so far there is nothing definitive," said the official, while Egypt has called on Israelis and Palestinians to ceasefire that would begin 0600 GMT on Tuesday.
